The Wisconsin Association of Computer Crime Investigator’s WACCI Awards:
2010 Prosecution Team Award
To recognize the importance of the team approach to investigating computer crimes and crimes involving electronic evidence. The nominations will be evaluated based on the effective use of electronic evidence in holding criminals accountable. The case need not have gone to trial to qualify for this award.

2010 Forensics Educational Contribution Award
To recognize achievement and contribution in the ongoing development of education and training in the area of computer forensics and/or network security and information assurance. The nominations will be evaluated based on contributions to the body of knowledge in forensics and information security. This could include development of a forensics and information security program, contributions to the forensics community through training programs, publications in the area of forensics and information security, or other academic achievement in forensics, network security, and information assurance. Please Provide:

2010 Private / Public Cooperation in Forensics and Information Security Award
To recognize the importance of cooperation between the private and public sectors in the area of Information Security and Digital Forensics, to successful collaborations and partnerships. The nominations will be evaluated based on formal and informal partnerships between individuals and/or organizations in the private and public sector which have been demonstrated to be useful in moving the field of forensics and network security forward.

2010 Excellence in Forensics Award
To recognize individual achievement in the practice of computer forensics and/or network security and information assurance. The nominations will be evaluated based on novel, creative and/or effective use of digital evidence for investigative purposes. This could include the development of a new forensic tool or method by an individual as well. The case need not be criminal, and does not need to have gone to trial to qualify for this award.
Please Provide:
• Brief description of the achievement in forensics
• Investigator or Analyst (name and contact information)
Award nominations can be submitted using the online form. Nominations must be received by September 12, 2010 to qualify. Winners of the awards will be recognized during the 2010 WACCI Conference Banquet on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.
